Last week BIS published a State aid basics document providing guidance (mainly aimed at potential grantors of aid, it appears) as to whether a planned measure might fall into State aid territory, and if so what to do about it. Click here for a link to the document. This ties in neatly with the next seminar that UKSALA plans to run, in the New Year, on the basics of State aid for SMEs. We will post details once we have sorted out the date and venue.
Meanwhile, on the same subject, the eagle-eyed may have spotted that, as predicted, the Commission has prolonged the current GBER for six months, until 30 June 2014; the new GBER is intended to enter into force on 1 July 2014. See the press release here.
