As the dust begins to settle\, attention is now naturally drawn to the detail. What are the options for the new legal settlement between the UK and the EU? What will be the impact on the many specific areas of law which currently comprise the legal status quo in the UK? What role will international law play in the context of Brexit? There are many unanswered questions and a lot to discuss. \nThe Centre of European Law has assembled an outstanding array of expertise from King’s College London to conduct a series of seminars over the next academic year covering different areas of law on which Brexit is likely to have an impact. Coordinated by Professor Andrea Biondi\, Director of the Centre of European Law and Maria Kendrick\, Research Fellow at the Centre of European Law\, the series will feature separate seminars with a final round up seminar to consider the wider constitutional issues. Each individual seminar will be led by the Chair(s) who will be joined on the panel by a line-up of distinguished speakers who are specialists in each specific area. \nSeminar 4: \nThe Impact of Brexit on the Application of State Aid \nChair \nProfessor Andrea Biondi: Director\, Centre of European Law\, King’s College London \nSpeakers \nAndrea Mastromatteo: Counsellor in the Rules Division of the WTO \nElisabetta Righini: counsel in the Antitrust & Competition Practice in Latham & Watkins LLP\, Brussels office.
